FAQ
Everything you need to know about how TravelFirst works, what we charge, and what to expect.
TravelFirst is an independent travel agency providing flight research, written quotes, and booking facilitation. We are not an airline and not a booking engine. We operate on a request-and-quote model: you submit a travel request, we research options, provide a written quote, and—with your written authorization—facilitate the booking through accredited ticketing partners.
You submit a travel request → a TravelFirst advisor researches available options → a written quote is provided → you provide written authorization → the ticket is issued through accredited ticketing partners. No payment is collected before you provide written authorization.
Typically within 24 business hours of receiving a complete travel request. If you haven't heard from us within that window, please check your spam folder or contact us at support@travelfirst.us or +1 (888) 992-4455.
No. There is no live search, live inventory, or instant booking on this website. TravelFirst operates on a request-and-quote model. You submit a request, an advisor researches options, and a written quote is provided for your review.
No. TravelFirst handles flight research and booking coordination only. We do not book hotels, car rentals, cruises, or travel packages of any kind.
TravelFirst charges a separate agency fee for flight research, quote preparation, booking coordination, and advisor support. It is always a separate line item, disclosed upfront before you authorize any payment. It is never embedded in the airfare amount.
The agency fee covers flight research and option identification, written quote preparation, booking coordination and ticketing facilitation, and advisor support during the booking process. It is not a processing fee, convenience fee, or tax.
The agency fee charged by TravelFirst LLC appears on your card statement as TRAVELFIRST.
No. The agency fee is always a separate line item, never embedded in the airfare amount. You will see both components itemized distinctly in your written quote and authorization document.
Depending on your itinerary, airfare is charged either directly by the airline or by our accredited ticketing partner. The charging party and expected statement descriptor are always disclosed in your written quote before you authorize payment.
No. TravelFirst LLC does not issue airline tickets directly. Tickets are issued through accredited ticketing partners using airline reservation systems.
These are three distinct stages. A quote is an informational document showing available options and pricing — it does not hold a seat. A reservation holds a seat in the airline system. A ticket is the final confirmed travel document that authorizes travel. Your booking is complete only when a ticket has been issued and confirmed in writing.
Via email as an e-ticket confirmation. TravelFirst will send you written confirmation once the ticket has been issued, including your e-ticket number and booking reference.
Yes, and we encourage it. Your e-ticket number enables direct verification with the operating carrier. If you have any difficulty locating your booking, contact us immediately at +1 (888) 992-4455 or support@travelfirst.us.
For eligible bookings made at least 7 days before departure, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking confirmation for a full refund of airfare and agency fee. No penalty applies within this window. Contact us at support@travelfirst.us immediately if you wish to exercise this right.
Within the DOT 24-hour cancellation window: yes, the agency fee is refunded in full. After ticket issuance: the agency fee is non-refundable, unless TravelFirst exercises discretion in exceptional circumstances. That discretion is not a guarantee.
The TravelFirst agency fee remains non-refundable if you cancel directly with the airline. Airfare refunds follow the airline's fare rules for your ticket type. Contact TravelFirst before taking action with the carrier to understand your options.
If TravelFirst is unable to complete your booking after payment has been collected, all charges collected by TravelFirst LLC are refunded in full — including the agency fee.
Only after you provide written authorization. No charge occurs before you approve the quote. You will receive a written authorization document itemizing all charges, and payment is processed only after you confirm your approval in writing.
No. After you provide written authorization, the amounts in that authorization document cannot increase. If a fare change occurs before your authorization is processed, we will notify you and obtain a new written authorization before proceeding.
The agency fee charged by TravelFirst LLC appears on your card statement as TRAVELFIRST. The airfare, if charged separately by the airline or accredited ticketing partner, will appear under that party's descriptor — disclosed in your written quote.
No. ARC Verified Travel Consultant (ARC VTC) status is an identity-verification credential issued by Airlines Reporting Corporation. It does not grant ticketing authority. Ticket issuance is performed through accredited ticketing partners who hold the appropriate accreditation.
